Picnic at the Gardens

DSCF0378

Today, we needed a change of pace. Lately I have been really stressed, which always tends to make me grumpy. I just wanted to spend the day focused on my children, focused on their enjoyment. A couple of times I wanted to just say forget it, and sit on the couch and drown my stress in the TV. Every time I sat down, one of my sweet babies would come up and hug me or ask me for a cuddle. So I swallowed my laziness and took them to the gardens for a picnic. I am so glad that I did it too! Taking time out from my wants, and selfishness was exactly what these girls and I needed. The LOVED being able to run around, and explore. And I just let them.

My children are weird. The will only eat pb&j sandwiches, they have to be but in a triangle, and the crust has to be on. If there is no crust they won’t eat it. If it isn’t cut into a triangle, they won’t eat it. I told you they were weird.  What kind of snacks do your children like with their sandwiches. Mine like “Veggie Straws” they get mad at me if there are no “veggie straws.” Every Saturday I have to go to Costco for a big bag of “veggie straws.”

It took me a while to convince her that the ducks weren't going to come up behind her and bite her butt, while I took this picture! goodness she makes me laugh! I love having a car again, it really opens up a lot of opportunities for us. I know Karisma had a blast at the park, she didn’t want to go home. Only the promise of the Lion King and a ice pop would get her into the car. I think she may grow up to be a lawyer. She can talk a person around in circles, until she convinces you that her way is the right way…

Love your pictures! So bright! And Emma loves apples with peanut butter and pretzels with Nutella for a side. :)
