I recently watched a documentary called Fat Sick & Nearly Dead. My Dad got me watching it. Basically it is about this guys journey through juicing to become healthier. Well my Dad and I got talking and decided to do a 10 day fast on the juicing. That 10 day fast has now turned into a 2 month fast. My Dad, for the past couple of weeks has been juicing for times a day, and has seen incredible differences. Which got him thinking, that once he gets me used to the juice, and ready to fast, that we should do it for 2 months.
Perks:
- Grocery Bill will be incredibly smaller
- Whiter eyes
- Whiter teeth
- Fantastic looking skin
- Cleanses the body
- Weight loss
Reasons to take this serious and not lightly:
- It is hard
- I will miss cooking
- I will miss eating my cooking
- Extreme fatigue in the first couple of days
- It is hard on the mind
First Night:
This is the juicer.
This is the apple: Pink Lady
This is the juice. It was really yummy juice. Really basic. I need to go grocery shopping. But I thought that it would be nice to give the juicer a test run.
The juice like I said was really good. But about half way through my brain, body, and taste buds started having different reactions. My taste buds liked it, my body screamed for something different, and my brain
was fighting my hands to pick up the glass and finish the juice.
After I finished I felt weird. It could be because it was at 10:00 PM and I was tired. But after drinking it all I wanted to do was
curl up in bed and sleep it off.
Then I got a little burst of energy and cleaned the kitchen and living room. When I say clean, I mean clean. Like nobody’s business!
Day one will officially be tomorrow. My plan is to get used to the juice for now. I will be having a glass in the morning and a glass either
in the afternoon, or in the evening. I want to play around with it for a little bit at first and see which works better for me.
At the end of the week if I’m used to the juice, and can’t wait to drink it, then I will start the fast.
If not then I will give it another week.
I thought that it would be fun to blog about it, so through videos, pictures and blogging you will see about my experience.
Here goes!
