You know that FRIENDS episode where Pheobe launches into a hilarious tirade, about how lobsters mate for life. Thus informing Ross that Rachel is his lobster? Blanca, who wouldn’t let me take a picture of her, is my lobster. In a totally friend type way! Lobster 4 Life! LOL. I asked Blanca a while ago to teach me how to make banana lumpia. She of course obliged and even taught me how to make “regular” lumpia! Lumpia = super easy! Lumpia = super yummy! While we talked and cooked, the kiddos played. What a great day!
I do love bananas, don’t you? So yellow, so bright, and so full of flavor! Looking at this picture makes me want to make banana peanut butter cookies… excuse me while I wipe the drool from my mouth. Cookies and lumpia this post is overloaded with goodness…
We made simple banana lumpia, with none of the frills that you don’t really need, that gets added by restaurants.
That is right banana and brown sugar. I did have a thought for the next time. Cinnamon must be added. My mouth is continuing to water. Excuse me again…
Look at how clean and neat Blanca’s lumpia looks. I think that was the point where I told her, “I kinda wish you had old Filipino hands.” I thought it would have been beautiful to capture old, experienced, hands wrapping the lumpia. Lobster, you have beautiful hands!
I don’t really know what else to say here other than… before…
